Our Afternoon Tea season is open  from May – October 2024.

Indulge in a delicious, traditional Afternoon Tea and experience our friendly Alpacas up close.

During the season (May – mid October), we are open for Alpaca Afternoon Teas from Friday to Sunday starting at 2.30pm. Minimum 2 people and maximum 14. Or you can also book an Afternoon Tea and Alpaca Experience as a private party, for groups of more than 10, please contact Carol for details.

Our Afternoon Tea and Alpaca Experience is £48 per adult and £38 for children 10 and under. This includes a delicious homemade traditional afternoon tea served with a choice of fresh loose leaf teas or coffee and lots of time with our alpacas, feeding them carrots, taking photos and just enjoying their company.

If you want to buy our Alpaca Afternoon Tea as a present then purchase our Gift Vouchers which last one year.

Please read our Terms and Conditions before booking.

On arrival, we will take you out into the paddock to meet the alpacas and you can feed them their favourite treat of carrots and take photos. We will tell you about these inquisitive creatures from the mountains of South America.

We have 16 alpacas. They are all very friendly and like meeting new people.

You can find out more about our alpaca team here.

After you’ve been introduced to the Bewl Rookery alpaca team you will enjoy a delicious home-made afternoon tea sitting in our garden marquee overlooking the paddock.

Our menu is below (please note this may change to include seasonal cakes and sandwiches). Everything is freshly and lovingly homemade. We have a 5 star food hygiene rating.

Our Afternoon Tea tables are decorated with vases filled with flowers grown by Carol in her flower field. If you’d like to buy any while you are here let Carol know.

After tea, you are welcome to walk in our summer meadow, and meander round our Labyrinth.

With walls of mixed grasses and wildflowers you can stroll in circles to the centre and sit and watch the butterflies at eye level and the birds flying above.

The alpacas love to wander in the Labyrinth too, they may even follow you round.

Along with the alpacas, our smallholding also consists of bees, hens, vegetables and flowers.

You can also buy flowers to give as a gift while at our Afternoon Tea. Please order ahead from Carol. Our season is June – October.
