Tea with our Alpacas
Our Afternoon Tea season will re-open from May 2024.
In the meantime you can buy a Gift Voucher or Adopt an Alpaca
Indulge in a delicious, traditional Afternoon Tea and experience our friendly Alpacas up close.
During the season (May – mid October), we are open for Alpaca Afternoon Teas from Friday to Sunday starting at 2.30pm. Minimum 2 people and maximum 12. Or you can also book an Afternoon Tea and Alpaca Experience as a private party please contact Carol for details.
Our Afternoon Tea and Alpaca Experience is £45 per adult and £37 for children 10 and under. This includes a delicious homemade traditional afternoon tea served with a choice of fresh loose leaf teas or coffee and lots of time with our alpacas, feeding them carrots, taking photos and just enjoying their company.

On arrival, we will take you out into the paddock to meet the alpacas and you can feed them their favourite treat of carrots and take photos. We will tell you about these inquisitive creatures from the mountains of South America.
We have 16 alpacas including two Cria, born in July 2022. They are all very friendly and like meeting new people.

After you’ve been introduced to the Bewl Rookery alpaca team you will enjoy a delicious home-made afternoon tea sitting in our garden marquee overlooking the paddock.
Our menu is below (please note this may change to include seasonal cakes and sandwiches).
Our Afternoon Tea tables are decorated with vases filled with flowers grown by Carol in her flower field. If you’d like to buy any while you are here let Carol know.

After tea, you are welcome to walk in our summer meadow, which is particularly well suited for older folk and anyone looking for an easy walk in the countryside. Walks of any length, from a few hundred metres to about 1 kilometre.
Stroll around and find our wildlife areas, sit in the shade of the Copper Beeches and then at the end of the meadow you will find our Copse filled with young trees including Wild Cherry, Silver Birch, Field Maple, Common Oak, Rowan and Grey Willow. The bench in the middle allows you to take a short break to enjoy the view.
Along with the alpacas, our smallholding also consists of bees, hens, vegetables and flowers.
You can also buy flowers to give as a gift while at our Afternoon Tea. Please order ahead from Carol. Our season is June – October.
