Bewl Rookery’s alpacas and flowers feature in the British Alpaca Society’s magazine. Their article is about our alpaca and flower growing story and how people enjoy our afternoon teas and meeting our friendly alpacas as well as how we grow flowers for local sale that are powered by alpaca manure. Using the ‘no dig’ method to create flower beds and practising sustainable and organic growing practices we grow a range of flowers including hardy annuals, perennials, dahlias, roses, herbs and shrubs. Our alpaca manure feeds the flowers and our tea guests feed our alpacas carrots!
